If your degree was completed outside of North America, you may have your degree evaluated by World Education Services (WES) or International Credential Assessment Services of Canada (ICAS).

Yes. Our online MBA and EMBA programs are held to the same standards as traditional in-person universities. Our degrees and certifications are respected and reputable to help position you as top talent on the job market.

The average cost of a two-year MBA in Canada is about $47,000. But at the University of Fredericton, tuition is significantly more affordable at about $27,000. Because we are fully online, we don’t carry the same overhead costs as a brick-and-mortar university, so we pass those savings on to our students. Tuition for the MBA program is payable on a per-course basis.

The MBA and Executive MBA (EMBA) cover the same amount of coursework but there are a few key differences between the programs. 

• Program pace: MBA courses are delivered over 11 weeks. EMBA courses run for 7 weeks. This means EMBA students can complete the program more quickly, but there is a higher threshold for leadership experience. 
   

• Leadership experience: MBA students range from recent graduates to seasoned professionals. EMBA students, however, typically have mid-level management roles and significant career experience.

CourseCompare publishes annual rankings of Canada’s top online MBA programs. The University of Fredericton is also the first in Canada to receive a 5-star rating from internationally recognized QS World University Rankings for online learning.

You can expect to spend 15-20 hours a week (per course) on your studies here. Keep in mind that UFred’s MBA was designed for working professionals. Each course provides a master schedule that outlines deliverables and deadlines in advance, helping you plan your time effectively. Many of our students balance careers, families and studies successfully.

All MBA students complete 10 foundation courses before moving into their chosen specialty stream. Streams include options such as Global Leadership, Business Analytics, Consulting and Artificial Intelligence Leadership.

You are not required to lock in your specialization until you’ve completed the foundation courses. If you prefer, you can pursue a General MBA by selecting courses across multiple streams.

Each course includes one virtual class (v-class) per week, held on WebEx, which you must attend. Classes are scheduled between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. ET, Monday through Thursday. They last 1 to 1.5 hours. V-classes are a valuable chance to interact with professors and peers and build a professional network across Canada. Schedules are provided about four weeks before each course begins. Times may vary by term.
