UFred students recognized in student "Project of the Year" category at Small Business Institute 38th annual conference

Four UFred students have been recognized for their outstanding academic performance. Helene Parent, Jeff Rogers, Mark Stroombergen, and Matthew Worden submitted a marketing plan titled “Brand Extension Marketing Plan for The Safe Home Radon Detection Kit” to the Small Business Institute 38th Annual Conference as a part of a course project in the EMBA course Strategic Marketing Planning. The paper has been selected as one of the top three submissions to the conference in its respective category.

This recognition follows directly on the heels of the announcement that UFred professor Dr. Blake Escudier and UFred student Blair Lipsett also had a paper accepted to the Small Business Institute 38th Annual Conference. The paper, titled “Creating an Experiential Program: Center for Commercial Entrepreneurship of Invasive Species”, will also be presented at the conference and published in the Conference Proceedings in February.

The University of Fredericton would like to extend heartfelt congratulations to the UFred students and professors involved in this academic achievement and wish the best of luck to all who will be presenting in February.

The conference will take place from February 13-15, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada. More information about the conference can be found at this link: http://www.smallbusinessinstitute.biz/
