Dr. Escudier & Blair Lipsett (UFred MBA Student) - paper accepted for conference
As many of my students can attest – I care about the writing quality of graduate students. Getting your point across to others in the business world requires good writing skills and proper use of APA standards. I believe a key to writing effectively is through good habits of the writing process. (Can you say: “Proofread”)
During one of my courses a student’s writing stood out, maybe because it was similar to my own style. I asked Blair if he would like to work on a paper with me and he jumped at the chance. During the summer of 2013 Blair researched information on Invasive Species. Before you jump to the conclusion this is a sci-fi paper, know that I’m working on a project called: ” Center for Commercial Entrepreneurship of Invasive Species.” (CCEIS) Blair was providing the market information based on what are Invasive Species.
I used his background information and combined with my plans to develop the CCEIS and submitted a paper to the Small Business Institute 2014 annual conference entitled: “Creating an Experiential Program: Center for Commercial Entrepreneurship of Invasive Species”
The paper was accepted for presentation at the February 2014 conference in Las Vegas and will be published in the Conference Proceedings. I will be attending and present our paper.
Congratulations to Blair!
I look forward to collaborating with more UFred Students in the future!
